Government works to guarantee daily connections between São Vicente and São Nicolau - minister

Ribeira Brava, Jul 9 (Inforpress) - The Minister of Transport and Tourism announced today that the government is working on a project to guarantee daily connections, by air or sea, between the islands of São Nicolau and São Vicente.

José Luís Sá Nogueira, who was speaking at the opening of the second meeting of the Soares Family of São Nicolau, guaranteed that the government will solve the problem of transport and connectivity among the islands.

With regard to the island of São Nicolau, he assured that he is working to guarantee daily connections, either by air or by sea, between the islands of São Nicolau and São Vicente, guaranteeing that the idea is to have intermodality between the two islands. 

‘There is a very strong relationship between São Nicolau and São Vicente, but also between São Nicolau and Sal and we, as a government, have a clear perception of the potential of São Nicolau's tourism as nature tourism, mountain tourism, a tourism that also has strong potential in terms of what we call health and leisure tourism,’ he emphasised.
