Luxembourg expands Indicative Cooperation Programme with Cabo Verde to €116 million

Praia, Oct 17 (Inforpress) - Luxembourg will reinforce the Indicative Cooperation Program (PIC) with Cabo Verde by 17.6 million euros, aiming to strengthen the partnership in vital areas for the archipelago, which will now amount to around 116 million euros.

Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva, who is on a three-days official visit to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, highlighted that today he signed with the Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Xavier Bettel, the extension of the PIC, which strengthens the partnership ‘in areas vital to Cabo Verde,’ in a ‘particularly challenging’ global context.

The new PIC, he announced, will now be around 116 million euros.

"The financial package is increased by 7.6 million euros for the water and sanitation sectors, and 10 million euros for vocational training, employment and employability programs," wrote the head of government.
