São Filipe, Jul 31 (Inforpress) - Executive director Herculano Dinis told Inforpress that the Vitó Project Association is going through a time of transition marked by the closure of five environmental projects, which will last until mid-October this year.

Project closure began at the end of 2024 and runs until next October and, according to the organisation's executive director, the current focus is on finishing these projects responsibly, ensuring accountability to funders and, at the same time, mobilising resources for new initiatives.

Strategic projects such as shark and ray conservation, sustainable fishing, which largely financed the Guardian of the Sea programme, and plant conservation, which will be officially concluded in August, were closed.

Also is planned for October the closure of the seabird conservation project, as well as non-restricted financial support that was closed last June, explained the executive director.
