Praia, Nov 11 (Inforpress) – The chairman of the Board of Directors of the Operational Nucleus for the Information Society (NOSi), Carlos Tavares, said today that digital transformation in Cabo Verde will only become “a tangible reality” if municipalities are fully engaged in the process.
He made the statement at the opening of the Workshop on the SIMple Project, held in Praia and promoted by the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion in partnership with the World Bank and NOSi, with an investment of about 125 million escudos.
Tavares described the SIMple Project as “a landmark initiative” in the modernization and digitalization of Cape Verde’s public administration, highlighting its ability to integrate local governance into the country’s digital transition strategy.
“There can be no digital transformation, no digital transition, without the strong involvement of municipalities and local governance,” he emphasized, adding that this focus will have a broad national impact.
