Praia, Aug 12 (Inforpress) – The president of the Black Panthers Association, Alcides Amarante, and the leader of the Cape Verdean Federation of Community Associations, Denilson Monteiro, today highlighted improvements in support for young people in the country, but called for more incentives for their growth.

These considerations were made by these leaders on International Youth Day, celebrated today, under the motto “Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond”.

The leader of the Black Panthers Association, which has been working to support young people from different neighborhoods in Praia, stated that expanding support for youth education was one of the main gains for young people in recent years.

He stated that young people are receiving more support and opportunities for professional training than in the past, but that more investment is still needed in infrastructure that allows them to occupy their free time.
