Boa Vista: Council announces arrival on the island of materials to replace the pitch at the Arsénio Ramos stadium

Sal Rei, Jul 11 (Inforpress) - The City Council of Boa Vista announced today that ‘a large part’ of the materials needed to start work on replacing the synthetic pitch at the Arsénio Ramos Municipal Stadium are already in Sal Rei.

According to the local authority, 17 years on from its inauguration in 2008, the need to improve the pitch's conditions has been a constant request from athletes, clubs and the local sports community.

Therefore, he summarised, this intervention comes as a response to this long-standing demand.

The pitch, which has official dimensions of 110.24 metres by 71.26 metres and complies with the Cape Verde Football Federation's standards for 11-a-side football, will undergo ‘an essential renovation’.
