Volleyball: Cabo Verde's women's doubles team wins Zone II title for the second time and secures qualification for the African Games

Praia, June 8 (Inforpress) – The women's beach volleyball duo, Lu/Jany, were crowned champions of Zone II for the second time, securing qualification for the African Games and the Continental Cup, reinforcing the country's position among the top teams in the sub-region.

Following the victory, the athletes highlighted that the result is the fruit of collective work, involving the technical team, medical team, and partner institutions that have supported the project over the past few years.

The champions highlighted the role of coach Márcio Araújo, responsible for the team's technical guidance, as well as physical trainer Edmilson Mendes Abreu, whose preparation was crucial for the athletes' good physical condition during the competition.

Recognition was also extended to physiotherapists Natia Ramos, who accompanies the team nationally, and Fátima Tavares, responsible for monitoring them at international competitions.
