Volleyball: National team bets big on preparation in search of World Cup qualification

Praia, Jun 12 (Inforpress) - The Cape Verdean beach volleyball team, men's and women's, is preparing in Praia for the Lusophony Tournament in Portugal, a competition that is part of the preparation plan for the African qualifiers for the World Cup.

In the men's team, Christian and Edmilson, from the island of Sal, stand out as leaders of the national ranking, while in the women's team, sisters Ludmila and Janice Varela, appear to be the main Cape Verdean bet, having maintained the leadership in the ranking for several years.

The Cape Verdean volleyball team is in full preparation for two decisive challenges, the Lusophony Tournament, taking place in Portugal from the 20th to the 22nd, and the African qualifiers in the Kingdom of Morocco, which will give access to the World Championship.

Training takes place at Liceu Domingos Ramos, in Praia, in a structure adapted to guarantee technical and strategic working conditions.
