President of the Republic receives Kriol Star basketball team

Praia, Apr 22 (Inforpress) – The President of the Republic, José Maria Neves, will receive the Kriol Star basketball team this afternoon, which is preparing to compete in the Sahara Ball’2025 Conference, which will take place in June, in Senegal.

Kriol Stars, a project by Cape Verdean international brothers Joel and Ivan Almeida, is made up mostly of Cape Verdean players, and also has foreign athletes in its squad for what is considered the biggest stage on the African continent, in terms of clubs.

Krioll Star secured a historic place in the Basketball Africa League (BAL), a competition sponsored by the NBA.

Ball’2025 is made up of four teams, with Kriol Stars integrated into the Sahara Conference, which also includes Petro de Luanda (Angola), US Monastir (Tunisia) and A S C Ville de Dakar (Senegal).
