Cabo Verde proposes to serve as Brazil’s platform in Africa – minister

Mindelo, Feb 10 (Inforpress) – The Government wants the country to serve as Brazil’s platform in Africa in order to leverage the South American country’s interests in logistics and trade, assured the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Regional Integration.

José Luís Livramento made the announcement on Monday at a press conference in Mindelo to present the results of a visit to Brazil from 3 to 7 February.

The trip, at the invitation of Brazil’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, allowed, according to the same source, not only the reaffirmation of ongoing bilateral issues but also the launch of a new stage in relations.

Within this relationship, the minister clarified, the country wants to be useful to Brazil as part of a strategy to transform Cabo Verde into an economy of circulation.
