Gamboa Festival 2026 to take place in late June over three days

Praia, Apr 27 (Inforpress) – The 32nd edition of the Gamboa Music Festival will take place on June 26, 27 and 28 due to the electoral calendar and will pay tribute to the late artist Romeu di Lurdes, the municipality announced today.

The information was provided at a press conference by Praia City Council’s Culture Councillor, Jorge Garcia, who announced as a novelty the return of the event to a three-day format, as in previous years.

The event will be held on June 26, 27 and 28 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on the first two days, while the final day will host Gamboa Jovem from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

“The festival will once again be organized through a public tender to ensure greater transparency and equal opportunities for all,” he said, noting that the dates were chosen to allow full compliance with procurement procedures.
