São Vicente: National Police Capture Individual Four Months After He Escaped from Court

Mindelo, Nov 13 (Inforpress) – The National Police captured on Wednesday the individual who escaped from the São Vicente Court in July, during the legalization of his detention on suspicion of high-risk drug trafficking.

The information was confirmed by the spokesperson for the National Police (PN) in São Vicente, Elvis Leite, who explained that details of the arrest would be disclosed in an official statement.

However, a PN source revealed that the individual was arrested on Wednesday night near Rua Faroeste, in the Monte Sossego area.

The suspect’s escape occurred on July 5, when he and three other accomplices, aged between 20 and 46, were being heard by the São Vicente District Court for the legalization of their detention, after being arrested in a joint operation by the Judicial Police (PJ) and the PN in the Monte Sossego and Ribeira Bote – Ilha da Madeira neighborhoods.
