Portugal: Cape Verdean teenager shot dead in Barreiro

Lisbon, 15 October (Inforpress) – A 16-year-old teenager of Cape Verdean origin was shot dead on Monday night in the village of Lavradio, in the municipality of Barreiro, district of Setúbal, Portugal.

The Public Security Police (PSP) indicated, in a statement, that the crime occurred at 10:50 pm, with a gunshot that hit the victim in the upper chest, near the neck.

The police from Barreiro were alerted and arrived immediately, finding the victim alongside a witness who had called for help.

The South and South-East Fire Brigades arrived shortly afterwards and began first aid procedures, followed by the Barreiro VMER, which confirmed the death at 11:12 p.m.
