São Vicente/Rains: Augusto Neves points to lack of equipment as the biggest obstacle to solving the sewage problema

Mindelo, Sep 23 (Inforpress) – The mayor of São Vicente, Augusto Neves, assured this Monday, in Mindelo, that the lack of equipment constitutes one of the biggest constraints to solving the sewage problem that plagues the various neighborhoods.

The mayor was speaking to the press after a meeting with the mayor of Porto (Portugal), who was also accompanied by the secretary-general of the Union of Portuguese-Speaking Capital Cities (UCCLA), Luís Campos Ferreira, and the Portuguese ambassador, João Luís Neves.

According to the same source, the city and neighborhoods are already at a "very advanced stage" of thorough cleaning, and a more thorough cleaning phase will follow.

But, he added, there is still concern about sewage, with the municipality facing difficulties with equipment.
