The government defines housing as a "fundamental priority" to improve quality of life and dignify people

Praia, 3 July (Inforpress) – The Minister for Infrastructure, Housing and Spatial Planning stated today that housing is a “key priority for the Government”, highlighting its role in “improving the quality of life” of the population and in upholding human dignity.

Carlos Tavares was speaking to journalists during a follow-up visit to the K1 and K2 housing developments, known as Condomínio Tabanka and Condomínio Batuque, as well as to the social housing construction works in the Achada Limpo area of Praia city, where the works are in an advanced stage of execution.

According to Carlos Tavares, the visits are part of the regular monitoring of ongoing housing projects, especially those with a high level of completion, allowing the Government to track the progress of the works and ensure their completion.

The minister assured that the Executive is working to strengthen the State's intervention in the housing sector, through the creation of new programs and projects capable of responding structurally to the country's housing challenges.
