Praia City, June 12 (Inforpress) – Chinese shopkeepers today highlighted the increased influx of customers interested in purchasing jerseys and other items related to the Tubarões Azuis, driven by enthusiasm surrounding Cabo Verde's historic participation in the 2026 World Cup.
During a tour conducted by Inforpress of several Chinese shops in the capital, a number of shopkeepers pointed out that, with the 2026 World Cup approaching, “sales of these items have skyrocketed”, with a “significant increase” in demand.
“We have noticed a significant increase in demand for the national team’s shirts, particularly following the warm-up matches, in which Cabo Verde won both games,” said Aiua, manager of the Grande Muralha shop.
Among the best-selling items, the same source highlighted Cape Verdean flags, scarves, and hats.
