Boa Vista: Municipality “socialises” project for regeneration of Salinas de Sal Rei and creation of climate shelters

Sal Rei, Mar 03 (Inforpress) – The Boa Vista Municipal Council is promoting this Wednesday a public presentation session of the pilot project “Regeneration of the Salinas de Sal Rei and creation of climate shelters”, focused on the island’s environmental resilience.

The event, scheduled to begin at 09:30 at the Noble Hall of the Town Hall, aims to present to residents and partners the key guidelines of an intervention considered strategic for the protection of sensitive ecosystems in the municipality.

According to the municipality, the project is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in partnership with the municipal council, as part of the programme “Climate Action for Local Action”.

The initiative is financed by Luxembourg Cooperation, reinforcing the commitment to climate change adaptation at the local level.
