Praia, Oct 4 (Inforpress) – The head of UN-Habitat in the country warned Monday that there is still much to be done in Cabo Verde to have sustainable inclusive cities and communities, and calls for a “djunta mó” (mutual help) to realize this aspiration of inclusion.
Jeiza Barbosa made these statements to the press on the sidelines of the dialogue table under the theme: “Reducing Inequalities without leaving anyone and no place behind”, following the proposed theme launched worldwide to guide reflections.
As she said, throughout this month UN-Habitat will be in different places, with different actors reflecting on the future of cities, on the theme of Sustainable Development Goal 11 which proposes inclusive, resilient and sustainable cities and communities.
Community-based associations were chosen for the first dialogue, considering those that can normally give voice to those who could potentially be left behind.
