Mindelo, Sept 7 (Inforpress) – The civil protection and social department at the City Hall of São Vicente are working in coordination to support five families, in Chã de Alecrim, displaced this Tuesday, due to rainfall.
This information was provided to Inforpress by the Councilman of civil protection at the City Hall of São Vicente, Anilton Andrade, after an assessment in the field on the damage and needs of interventions caused by the rains.
“We are still in the field doing this type of assessment, but we are talking about four to five families in informal settlements and spaces with clandestine constructions, in Chã de Alecrim, next to the grassfootball field”, said the Mayor.
According to the same source, there were also four ceilings, the collapse of some road walls and off-road walls, walls protecting houses, but which did not cause accidents.
