Calheta, Jun 5 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister considered that the creation of the photovoltaic solar power plant will have “an important impact” in boosting employment in the municipality of São Miguel, both in the construction phase and in the installation phase, with a forecast of 100 jobs.
Ulisses Correia e Silva spoke in Calheta de São Miguel at the signing of the implementation contract for the construction and operation of the 10 mega watt photovoltaic solar power plant by the Government and the Tâmega Energy SA company.
“There are 100 jobs of high level and qualification, with employment opportunities for our young people, but also in the operation and maintenance phase, which are more durable and more sustainable jobs”, said the head of Government.
For the Prime Minister, Calheta is hosting an investment that also means a “significant contribution” to increasing renewable energy production and implementing the energy transition plan.
