Porto Novo, Jan 23 (Inforpress) – The Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, said he had “enormously” exceeded all his expectations regarding the beauty of the island of Santo Antão, which he considered “one of the most beautiful places in the world ”.
Speaking to the press at the end of a visit lasting a few hours to Santo Antão, the Secretary General of the United Nations classified this region as “the most beautiful island in Cape Verde and one of the most beautiful places in the world”, whose beauty exceeded his expectations.
António Guterres therefore thanked the Government and the three mayors of Santo Antão for having provided him with “this unforgettable visit” to an island of “indescribable beauty”, where he was “amazed” particularly by the village of Fontainhas.
This village was one of the places visited by the Secretary General of the United Nations who said he confirmed what has been said about this area that it is “one of the most beautiful places in the world”.
