Porto Novo, Aug 30 (Inforpress) – The Company, in the Planalto Leste, Santo Antão, receives, from September, a housing project, in an initiative of the Portuguese Association Sharing Love, which has the partnership of the local association and the City Hall of Porto Novo.
The president of the Companhia’s Community Association, Adilson Silva, explained to Inforpress that there has already been a meeting between the project partners, which starts in September with the rehabilitation of degraded homes, where families in vulnerable situations live.
To begin with, the idea is to at least recover (replacement the roof) six houses that are in a state of advanced degradation, endangering people’s lives. The Association Sharing Love, which has been operating in the social field in Santo Antão, more precisely in the Planalto Leste, reported that this mission to Cabo Verde is in preparation, with the housing project in the spotlight.
In addition to donations, this Association, through its volunteers, in partnership with the City Hall of Porto Novo and the Companhia’s Community Association, is preparing for the start of the housing project, as of next month. The City Hall of Porto Novo rejoiced with this project and recognized “the role” of this Portuguese Association “in supporting entities in solving social problems” in this municipality, through solidarity campaigns for the most disadvantaged.
