Praia, Aug 31 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Regional Integration, Rui Figueiredo Soares, inaugurated this Tuesday the Embassy of Cabo Verde in Morocco, in the city of Rabat, in a joint act with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita.
According to a note published on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Regional Integration website, the two ministers stressed the strategic importance of a Cabo Verdean diplomatic representation in Rabat, in raising relations to a much higher level and closer together.
Rui Figueiredo Soares described the inauguration as a “special and very important moment, thanking the Moroccan authorities for their collaboration.” According to the note, the Minister also took advantage of his stay in Morocco to visit the port and industrial area of Tanger Med and held a meeting with Cabo Verdean students in Morocco.
Rui Figueiredo Soares, who is on a working visit in Morocco from August 29 to September 1, also met with the Minister of Transport and Logistics, having discussed the opportunities for the exploitation of cooperation in the field of air and sea transport and to capitalize on the presence of the “Royal Air Maroc” in Cabo Verde.
