Praia, Jul 12 (Inforpress) – Portuguese theologian and historian of religion, Tales Silva, will present this Thursday to Saturday, in the entrance hall of the Jorge Barbosa National Auditorium, in the City of Praia, painting that show the culture in an interactive way.
Speaking to Inforpress, he explained that this exhibition, which targets all Portuguese Speaking Countries (PALOP), aims to make known one of the religions “which is more talked about and more criticized, but at the same time is what is known any less”.
“It is more criticized because most wars, from 18 to 19 years ago, have been related to Muslim countries or in the region where Islam and Muslims are the majority,” he said, adding that with this exhibition they will be promoting “Good citizenship, understanding and community cohesion”.
According to Tales Silva, this exhibition is aimed at schools, universities, public and private entities that will have access to an explanation of history, practice, faith, the five pillars of Islam, Islamic teachings on the family and their importance and what Islam really is.
