Lisbon, Oct 2nd (Inforpress) – The Cape Verdean mentor of “Empodera-te” and winner of the 2023 Migrant Merit Award, Sara Sarowsky, will take the project to Cabo Verde in November as a way of helping women to take charge of their lives.
Speaking to Inforpress, the author, columnist, blogger, podcaster, speaker and content creator said that “Empodera-te”, which she adopted as her family name from Sanches, who also classifies the project as a movement, explained that it emerged in January this year, following the “Still Single” podcast, which debuted in November 2022.
Thus, on January 7, 2023, she presented the project, in Lisbon, at the Cabo Verde Cultural Centre (CCCV), whose godfather was the artist Dino D’Santiago and due to high demand, he repeated the event on January 27, 2023. January, in the same city, at the Cultural Centre of Belém (CCB), whose godmother was the wife of the Cabo Verde ambassador to Portugal, Manuela Brito.
“My reference is always Cabo Verde, the land that saw me born, grow and flourish. That’s why my heart is full, because now I’m managing to take “Empodera-te” to Cabo Verde, Praia, on the 25th of November”, she said, highlighting the importance of the day, as it will be on Week for the Eradication of Violence against Women.
