Petition on National Day to Fight Alcohol Abuse reaches the triple of signatures three hours after launch

Praia, July 3 (Inforpress) – Three hours after the launch of the petition for the institutionalization of July 1 as National Day to Fight Alcohol Abuse, it had already the triple of signatures needed to be accepted in Parliament.

The information was provided to Inforpress by the campaign coordinator “Less Alcohol More Life,” Manuel Faustino, who said that the collection of signatures is still taking place in order to ensure greater coverage and give more people the chance to subscribe to this proposal of petition.

The petition was launched on June 13, within the framework of the celebrations of the third anniversary of the “Less Alcohol More Life” campaign, a presidential initiative whose objective is to fight to significantly reduce this evil that is affecting people, family, society, health and the Cabo Verdean economy.

Manuel Faustino does not know how many signatures have already been obtained, but speaks in thousands, when the minimum required for such a proposal to be accepted in the National Assembly for discussion and approval is 500 signatures.
