Paralympics: Marilson Semedo wins bronze at the Grand Prix Series in Marrakech 2023

Praia, Mar 9 (Inforpress) – Cape Verdean international Paralympic athlete Marilson Semedo won this Thursday the bronze medal in the discus throw category at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix Series in Marrakech 2023, which takes place in Morocco by throwing 34.77 meters.

According to Inforpress, Marilson Semedo was supplanted in this test by the Libyan athlete Rajab Mahmoud, considered the best in Africa, when he won the gold medal with a launch of 44.30, and the silver medal was achieved by Petrous Jaroslav, from the Czech Republic, referenced as the best in Europe.

According to the schedule, the most experienced athlete in the entourage, Marilson Fernandes, F-57 class, will compete again this Friday, to dispute the title in the javelin throwing competition.

Also today, Carlos Araújo, T-47 class, Jailson Andrade Correia, T-11 class, enter the scene in the 100-meter race, with their participation in the 400-meter race still scheduled for Saturday.
