Praia, Mar 9 (Inforpress) – The Ombudsman and the Catholic Church assigned this Thursday the intention of maintaining a close partnership in promoting lectures to scouts and other structures aimed to publicizing the role of the Ombudsman and his access channels.

The Ombudsman, José Carlos Delgado, gave the information to the press after a meeting he held this morning with Bishop Dom Arlindo Furtado, to discuss social issues related to the family, alcoholism, violence and urban crime, juvenile delinquency and noise pollution.

“We talked about various issues, fundamentally social ones and the need to create mechanisms for structuring families, alcoholism, drugs, youth violence and the role that the Church could play in helping to minimize many of these problems,” he said.

Also according to José Carlos Delgado, the Ombudsman made available to Cardinal Dom Arlindo, and its structures, everything that could be forwarded to the Ombudsman in order to solve the problems.
