Janice da Silva named Global Goodwill Ambassador for Five Points SDG for PALOP

Praia, Aug 9 (Inforpress) – UN-Habitat coordinator in Cabo Verde, Janice da Silva, has been named global Goodwill ambassador for the SDGs by the American organization “Five Points Youth Foundation” to build Communities and Cities Sustainable SDG 11 in the Palop.

Speaking to Inforpress, the first Cabo Verdean nominated ambassador for the construction of Sustainable Communities and Cities in the Palop, was honored by the appointment and pledged to work to transform urbanization as an opportunity for development.

“It is with great honor that I accept being a Goodwill ambassador and will be fully committed to working on the issue of cities and economic development, bringing messages of how we can transform urbanization and opportunity for economic development for the world’s people,” she said.

Janice da Silva, who will be part of a total of 5.000 people nominated and considered influential in the world to devote her efforts to supporting the work in which they have been nominated, will build Sustainable Communities and Cities in Portuguese Speaking Countries challenging communities about good practice in the urban environment.
