Praia, Oct 28 (Inforpress) – The resident coordinator of the United Nations System surrenders to Cape Verde’s level of development, as a “stable, democratic, good governance” country that aligns with the ideals of this intergovernmental organization, geared towards international cooperation.
With missions already accomplished in other countries in Africa and Asia, Ana Graça said in an interview with Inforpress that “clearly, Cape Verde has a level of development that is internationally recognized by the various indices, as a stable, democratic country with good governance, where human rights are respected and the population acts in a very civic way”.
“There is a lot of awareness of the importance of preserving values, taking care of others, taking care of communities, taking care of each of their homes, their health, education. This has contributed over the years of independence to a state of peaceful and solid development,” she stated.
In this perspective, he highlighted the progress made in this archipelago in terms of health, education, care for the most vulnerable, emphasizing that Cape Verde stands out as a “solid, democratic country” and that it has made this progress, “still with challenges to reach up”.
