Government promises to collaborate with municipalities to fight the garbage accumulated in the country

Praia, Sept 8 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Agriculture and Environment said Wednesday that the Government will intervene in collaboration with municipalities to combat the garbage accumulated in Cabo Verde, as it aims for good governance in climate action.

Gilberto Silva answered the journalist’s question about whether the Government intended to mobilize resources to better adapt to climate change and take measure due the garbage accumulated in the country and the city of Praia, particularly.

“There has to be some action to be taken in relation to the strengthening of environmental health to contribute to the strengthening of the country’s health security. This depends a lot on the action of the municipalities, but the Government has a voice to give in view of the responsibility it also has in the field of health and quality of the environment”, he said.

Also according to the Minister of Agriculture and Environment, where is necessary we will take measures in partnership with the municipalities.
