Cidade das Pombas, Paul, Jun 21 (Inforpress) – Paul’s health delegate, Dr. Alexandre Lizardo Alves, believes that the collection of samples for laboratory tests done locally for some time “is another gain for Health” in that county.
“We collect the samples that will be analyzed later in the laboratory at the João Morais regional hospital, in Ribeira Grande”, said Alexandre Alves explaining that it is a gain because people will not have to spend the time and money to go to Ribeira Grande to to make these medical exams.
The gain is even greater when the user is elderly or someone with reduced mobility who, with access to this service at the local level, get a better life.
Paul is a municipality located in the extreme northeast of the island of Santo Antão, with a surface area of 54.26 km² and a population of 5.647 inhabitants in 2018, down 142 from the previous year, with 57.9% of males and 42.1% of females, with average age of 33.6 years, according to data released by the National Statistical Institute (INE).
