Football/Santo Antão Sul: Sanjoanenses begins preparation under the command of Gunga

Porto Novo, Sep  14 (Inforpress) – The Os Sanjoanenses football club, in Santo Antão Sul, starts, Saturday, training with a view to the 2022 – 2023 season, under the command of Domingos Fonseca “Gunga”, former coach of Académica do Porto Novo.

Inforpress has found that this club, which is betting on winning the champion title in the season that officially begins in October, has everything prepared to start training from September 17, under the command of Coach Gunga, who guided “Micá” of Porto Novo for 12 years.

The Sanjoanenses have already assured the competition of several players who represented Académica for several seasons, such as goalkeeper Valdo, defender Kevy, midfielder Levitson and striker Fagui.

The defender Codé, midfielder Xima and striker Gay are other players who are on their way to Sanjoanenses, after having represented the Academica do Porto Novo last season.

    São Vicente: Ministry of the Sea presents final version of the National Strategy for the Sea 2023-2033 Mindelo, Dec 8 (Inforpress) – The government is preparing to present the National Strategy for the Sea 2023-2033 and its action plan, an instrument for planning, operationalising and implementing economic and social development related to the sea and the economic activities it supports. The Ministry of the Sea said that the presentation workshop should take place on the 19th in the conference room of the Chamber of Commerce of Barlavento, in Mindelo, followed by a debate/clarification session. The same source clarified that the National Strategy for the Sea 2023-2033 came from the responsibility of the National Directorate of Maritime Policy (DNPM) to propose and develop measures that promote the competitiveness of the sector, aiming to make the country a maritime logistics platform in the Middle Atlantic. It will provide answers to the “major challenges” of the decade and will strengthen Cape Verde’s position and visibility in the region and the world as a “historically and geographically maritime” nation.
