Fogo: Main bathing beaches in São Filipe will have swimmers/rescuers as of July 1st – councilor

São Filipe, Jun 27 (Inforpress) – The main bathing beaches in the municipality of São Filipe will be supervised by swimmers/rescuers between July 1 and September 30, the city councilor responsible for Civil Protection, Caetano Rodrigues, told Inforpress.

To this end, the municipality will celebrate a service contract with swimmers/rescuers during this period, to watch and provide information and help on the beaches of Fonte Bila, Vale dos Cavaleiros and Salinas, last will count for the first time with the presence of swimmers/rescuers.

The councilman said that these beaches will be covered daily by two swimmers / rescuers and on Sundays the Vale dos Cavaleiros beach will have four swimmers/saviors, as it is the day when it is more frequent for bathers.

Regarding materials for swimmers, Caetano Rodrigues acknowledged that there is a “slight delay” in their arrival, namely t-shirts and shorts, as well as the lack of two more buoys that are being provided and addre bye the Maritime port Institute (IMP).
