São Filipe, Oct 28 (Inforpress) – The third edition of the Morabeza-Book Festival, which this year has as its main stage the Fogo Island and extension to the city of Praia, began Sunday, 27th, with the book fair, which runs until November 3rd.
The book fair is held at Casa das Bandeiras’ premises and literary works by Cabo Verdean and guest writers are available for the third edition of Morabeza-Book Festival, and a small stand was organized with works by writers from Fogo Island.
The Morabeza – Book Festival, the largest literary festival of the Portuguese Speaking African Countries (PALOP) has foreseen other activities besides the book fair for exhibition / sale.
According to the program on November 1st, in the surrounding space of the Casa das Bandeiras is scheduled the opening session followed by a discussion table on “oral tradition” with Fausto do Rosário and Margarida Fontes.
For the 2nd of November literary activities are scheduled in the municipality of Santa Catarina do Fogo, namely in the city of Cova Figueira with session with students led by Carmelinda Abu Raya and João Tordo and during the interview with João Tordo and moderation of Carmelinda Abu Raya
