Mindelo, May 31 (Inforpress) – The chairman of the board of directors of Enapor considered, in Lisbon (Portugal), that it is APLOP’s desire to share information and align the implementation of good practices in areas such as security, concession and port work.
Ireneu Camacho was speaking as acting president of the Association of Portuguese Speaking Ports (APLOP), during a conference on Port and Maritime Law, which was also attended by the executive director of Enapor – Portos de Cabo Verde, Eneida Gomes, speaker of the panel on “Law of port concessions and licenses”.
In his speech at the conference, which Inforpress had access to, Ireneu Camacho considered that although each APLOP member country has its own legislation, the debate on Port and Maritime Law allowed for “an important sharing of information”.
“What we intend is to discuss and create conditions for an effective ‘networking’ between the Port and Logistics Communities of the countries we represent, being willing to explore what each one does in an effective way”, indicated Ireneu Camacho, in areas such as concession rights and port licenses, maritime transport law, maritime security and port work.
