Uni-CV students promote seminar on visual poetry as a way to boost its practice

Praia, Jun 25 (Inforpress) – A group of students from the University of Cabo Verde (Uni-CV) promoted a seminar on visual poetry this Monday to showcase its concept and promote its practice the country.

The information was given to the press, by the spokesperson of the organization Katelene Silva, explaining that the activity is part of the pedagogical training program of the Cabo Verdean and Portuguese Studies Course, in which the students had the task of choosing a project to develop.

In this line, she explained, a committee was created to teach at Abílio Duarte Secondary School in Palmarejo, and to convey the concepts of visual poetry and its characteristics.

According to Katelene Silva, the need to approach visual poetry arises because it is a topic that is not explored and studied in secondary schools, so the organization had as its purpose to take both the students and the school, knowledge about the craft.
