Praia, May 31 (Inforpress) – The United Nations System in Cabo Verde and the Cabo Verdean News Agency (Inforpress) are planning a partnership to broaden information on Cabo Verde’s 2030 agenda in the community.
The announcement was made by the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations System in Cabo Verde, Ana Graça, after having visited the facilities of Inforpress in Praia, where she had the opportunity to learn about the activities, priorities and challenges of this institution.
“The media have a key role, together with the State, Government, civil society and the private sector, to raise awareness among communities about what this agenda is, how people can participate for the implementation of the ODS, which are priorities for Cape Verde,” she said.
In addition to working on a pilot project to raise awareness of the 2030 agenda among the population, Ana Graça demonstrated an openness on the part of the United Nations System to support Inforpress in its process of development, restructuring and sustainability.
Inforpress’s executive manager, Jacqueline Furtado, considered this meeting to be very important, since they will be able to materialize a partnership for a greater diffusion of the ODS, since both agencies work towards the same objective.
