Praia, Nov 8 (Inforpress) – Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva met with Web Summit CEO and co-founder Paddy Cosgrave and conveyed Cabo Verde’s recognition for the event and invited him to visit the archipelago.
“The Web Summit is undoubtedly one of the largest technology events in the world. And each edition has been getting a bigger projection, with the participation of entrepreneurs and investors from various countries ”, said Ulisses Correia e Silva, in a publication made on its official Facebook page.
He also stated that Paddy Cosgrave was “very interested” in visiting Cabo Verde and learning about the archipelago’s potential in the field of digital economy.
“We thought to welcome you next year,” said the head of government. “We are at the biggest technological event in the world, and it is good that Cabo Verde is represented through its talents,” added the head of government of the Lusophone archipelago, about an initiative that cost “over 100.000 euros” to the country’s coffers.
