Praia, Aug 27 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister will be in Japan today, heading the Cabo Verdean mission that is attending the Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) to be held in Yokohama, August 28-30.
The theme of the TICAD 7 is, according to a government briefing note, “Advancing Africa’s development through people, technology and innovation”.
“TICAD is probably one of the largest multi-bilateral cooperation conferences with Africa, and Cabo Verde has been in all 6 editions, demonstrating a strong commitment to achieving and widening existing cooperation intentions,” reads the note.
According to the same source, the current option of the Cabo Verdean Executive is based on “comprehensive and diversified cooperation” in sectors such as the Sea, Health, Civil Protection, Energy infrastructures and enhanced dialogue aimed at attracting Japanese private investment.
