Porto Novo, Jan 14 (Inforpress) – The island of Santo Antão will benefit with a fourth center for tourism and tourism interpretation, which will be located in Ribeira das Patas, in the municipality of Porto Novo.
The center of Ribeira das Patas joins three others, opened in 2019, throughout the island, and is part of the planned tourist investments for the municipality of Porto Novo, in 2020, around 32 million escudos.
The project for the creation of the tourism and tourist interpretation center of Ribeira das Patas, a town that is betting on rural tourism with the construction of some tourist units, is estimated at over 3 million, an amount co-financed by the City Hall of Porto Novo and by the Government.
Santo Antão has three such infrastructures, located in the cities of Porto Novo, Pombas and Ribeira Grande, created under the Raízes project (Local Networks for Sustainable and Inclusive Tourism) on this island. This island, due to the projects being implemented and in its portfolio, is already a “pilot island” in terms of good practices in sustainable tourism in Cabo Verde.
