Praia, July 14 (Inforpress) – The women's national football team began its preparations for the African Cup of Nations (CAN) this Monday in Praia, confident of a positive performance and determined to overcome the group stage.

The national team’s first training session took place at the Estádio da Várzea, marking the start of their training camp in preparation for the CAN, which begins on the 26th of this month in Morocco.

Speaking on the sidelines of the training session, midfielder Evy Pereira, who plays for Valadares Gaia in Portugal, described the atmosphere within the group, even though the team is not yet complete.

“Our group is united, full of will and determination. We know it won't be an easy competition, but with unity and a winning mentality, it's possible for us to do something very beautiful,” he stated.
