The union welcomes the cancellation of the list of beneficiaries of the subsidy due to the non-reduction of working hours

Praia, August 11 (Inforpress) – The Democratic Union of Teachers (Sindprof) stated today that the Ministry of Education's decision to annul and revoke the list of 689 teachers benefiting from the subsidy for not reducing their workload will restore legality and justice.

The president of Sindprof, Lígia Herbert, speaking to Inforpress, stated that the union itself had already challenged the list, considering that it included teachers who were not entitled to the subsidy and excluded teachers who met the legal requirements to receive it.

"Indeed, Sindprof challenged the list published after the elections, which benefited the majority of the management staff at the Ministry of Education," stated the union leader.

The problem, the same source pointed out, was related to the inclusion of people who, according to them, did not meet the conditions stipulated by law to benefit from the subsidy, while teachers entitled to it were left out.
