The return to school boosts demand for school supplies and uniforms in the city of Praia

Praia, Sept. 14 (Inforpress) – Demand for school supplies and uniforms is rising in Praia’s shops as the new school year approaches, with primary education textbooks and school clothing standing out among the most sought-after items.

A round of visits made today by Inforpress to several stationery stores in the capital revealed a surge in the rush for textbooks, with classes set to begin in just a few days—on September 21st.

Clarisse Ribeiro, the manager of the Office D&L stationery shop in Achada Santo António, described the footfall during this initial phase of the return to school as “reasonable”, noting that it is likely to increase over the coming days.

According to the official, textbooks for Years 1 to 6 of primary education are the most sought-after.
