The President of the Republic believes that the country’s development has been “a human endeavour”

Praia, 27 July (Inforpress) – The President of the Republic argued that Cabo Verde’s development has been a human endeavour, and that the country’s journey confirms that a nation’s greatest asset lies in the quality of its people.

José Maria Neves was speaking in a video message broadcast during the Human Leaders International Congress Cabo Verde 2026, held on the 24th and 25th at the University of Cabo Verde (Uni-CV) campus in the city of Praia.

According to the Head of State, Cabo Verde takes pride in the democratic process it has built, based on pluralism, democratic alternation of power, the rule of law and the peaceful resolution of differences.

He therefore considered that the quality of leadership is also measured by the ability to strengthen institutions and create the conditions for others to participate, innovate and lead.
