The Colab São Nicolau Forum will consult civil society over the next six months for its strategic plan.

Ribeira Brava, 14 September (Inforpress) - The São Nicolau Colab Forum will be consulting civil society over the next six months to draw up a participatory assessment and strategic proposals for the island’s economic and social development.

According to a statement released today by the organization, the process began with an expanded meeting held on September 6 in the locality of Preguiça, which brought together various social stakeholders to reflect on the island's main challenges and potential.

“The information gathered during the forum constitutes an initial knowledge base that will guide the continuation of the work,” the document states.

Over the next six months, Colab São Nicolau plans to engage other stakeholders in society, while also mapping and systematising existing studies, projects and assessments carried out on the island
