Praia, Apr 26 (Inforpress) – The International Dance Day, celebrated on April 29th, will be celebrated in the City of Praia with a cultural event entitled “Cabo Verde dança”, the Simbrom Produson organization announced today.
This event, according to Patrícia Dias, aims to promote traditional Cabo Verdean dances and their evolution in the mix of the free movement of contemporary dance.
“What we want is to show and share the importance, value and richness of this cultural artistic heritage, which is the dance of Cabo Verde, such as Funaná, Coladeira, Morna, Batuco and Cola São Djon. There is so much to show and appreciate, so in these days we intend to highlight the importance of these dances”, she said.
“Cabo Verde dança”, she said, brings together a series of activities at both the Ildo Lobo Culture Palace and the Alexandre Albuquerque Square, beginning this Saturday, 27, with a video projection of performance with the people who marked the dance evolution and Cine Dança.
