Stamp issuance enhances the celebration of the 50th anniversary of National Independence

Praia, Mar 25 (Inforpress) – The president of the National Organizing Committee for the Celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of National Independence (CNO-50), Janine Lélis, announced today that a stamp will be issued to “value” the event, which is a “great moment” for Cape Verdeans.

The Minister of State, Defense and Parliamentary Affairs made this revelation to the press on the sidelines of the first meeting of the CNO-50 Executive Committee, which took place in Praia.

He acknowledges, however, that there is some delay in preparing the program to commemorate the event, due to the delay in approving the law for this purpose.

The law creating the aforementioned commission was approved by parliament on 3 February.
