Sport: Minister wants to focus on modernising sports facilities in order to meet international demands

Duarte was speaking to the press at the end of a working visit that also included trips to the National Archives of Cabo Verde (ANCV), the Vavá Duarte Sports Pavilion, and the National Stadium.
The objective was to assess the state of conservation, operation, and intervention needs of the infrastructure and services under its responsibility.
At the Vavá Duarte Sports Pavilion, António Duarte stated that the facility, considered one of the country’s most iconic, is in need of “a major refurbishment”, and pointed out that work to revitalise the infrastructure is already underway.
