Praia, Mar 02 (Inforpress) – Cape Verdean singer Solange Cesarovna is facilitating this Thursday, in Maputo, the first masterclass presenting the CLIP platform, within the scope of her mission as “CLIP Champion” of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The initiative, integrated into the Mozambique Music Meeting programme, results from a partnership with Xhub and aims to empower Mozambican artists and music professionals in matters of copyright and intellectual property (IP).

According to Solange Cesarovna, the decision to assume the role of ambassador of the “Creators Learn Intellectual Property” (CLIP) platform stems from the realization that many talents lose opportunities due to a lack of technical information about the sector.

“For years, I have lived music as a passion and a mission (…). I have seen brilliant creators without control over their own work and promising careers weakened by a lack of knowledge of the rights that belong to them. I refused to accept this as normal,” the singer wrote on her Facebook page.
